Welcome to my new blog, Thyme to cook!

I am an aspiring journalist and lover of every ingredient of the world of food. As a member of Slimming World, I often take much loved recipes and adjust them so that the flavours are still there but the calories, not so much.

This blog is for everything from recipes, eating out to the latest foodie gadgets out there. Take a visit to Food Art to see new ways and inventive ways to bring food into your home (and this time it's all calorie free). Everything is handmade by mother and available to buy! 

Anyone who knows me can tell you that for the first 18 or so years of my life I wasn't trusted in the kitchen for fear of burning it down. In my gap year I picked up a cupcake book and thought I'd give it a try... Four years on, these are the kinds of cakes that I have been making:
