Fire & Stone - Gourmet Global Pizza

The Fire & Stone is a restaurant that was introduced to me by a friend while I was working in the West End over Christmas. Found on Maiden Lane in Covent Garden, the Fire & Stone does some of the most fascinating pizza choices I've ever seen. I am not a big pizza lover but I've now been there three times.

The pizzas are presented on black, squared slates - as so many up and coming restaurants seem to be doing these days. The pizzas are themed after different countries and I have never seen such a special choice of toppings in any other pizza restaurant.

The pizzas are quite filling so I haven't had a chance to try anything else on the menu yet but if the pizzas are anything to go by, I'm going to have to try some of their other choices one day!

The staff is incredibly friendly and very efficient. The first time we went, we explained that we didn't have long to eat and they were perfectly understanding and very helpful.

There is a lunch menu and a main menu (and a kids menu) and if you can fit it in after your pizza, there is a dessert menu too.

The pizzas range from £7.95 to £12.95.
